November '08 Review
November was a successful month for WOT Mustang Club. This past month we took part in the charity event Soups For Troops. For the event, we had a cruise that included members from WOT Mustang Club, SENCMC, Cape Fear Z club, and Port City Racing. Check out our photo album for pictures of the cruise and event. For the event WOT had a 50/50 raffle which snakebite and his wife won. But they decided to donate their winnings to the charity. That was great and very nice of them to do. In all we donated $98 dollars total to Soups For Troops (wounded soldiers funds). During the event, we picked up a new member, David (xsynergy81). Overall we had a great turn out and a lot of nice cars for the event.
On Nov. 15th we met at National Speed for the UFC pay per view which also included a tech class. The tech class was hosted by Smoaky in which he went over performance clutches. After our tech class we went over club business which included picking our club banner/logo. We had 3 banners to choose from and in the end we made a unanimous decision on banner/logo #3. Look for this to be on the header of the site soon. Other topics included introducing all administrators for ‘09 year, club rules, business cards, and future events for the ‘09 year. After our club meet we enjoyed UFC 91 and pizza and wings from our sponsor Brooklyn Pizza. We also picked up another member to the club, Ryan (Hollywood), who drove all the way from Farmville to make the meet.
WOT wants to thank all its members who came out to this month’s meets. We also want to welcome our two newbies David and Ryan. For the month of December we do not have a meet scheduled due to the holidays. All we have is one scheduled track day. Hope to see you guys out there! We will pick things back up in January with a tech class hosted by So-Cal on Superchargers. Look for the ‘09 schedule to be posted soon. WOT Mustang Club is looking to have a great New Year with a lot of fun events in the works. See guys at the track in December.
