January 2009 Review 

January was another successful month for WOT Mustang Club.  This month we had our Banners installed, got our shirts created (ordering as we speak), and not one person hit the wall at Coastal Plains Raceway…….because the weather prevented us from going!!!

On Jan. 10^th we met up at Vital signs to have our banners installed.  We had a very large turn out with 13 cars showing up!! After our banner install we staged our rides to get a picture of all the cars that came out using an old building as a back drop.  Check out our “Faces of WOT” album for pictures. We then cruised up to SmithFields Chicken and BBQ for lunch and a Tech meet on Supercharging.  After the meet Chrisblkmustang, Ponygurl, Terminator, Blueboss, Quicksilver, So-Cal, Smoaky and the Bandit all went bowling.  Bowling was fun, when the lanes worked right, and yours truly bowled the highest game with a whopping 121!! On a side note Terminator official joined WOT on this meet.

Jan11th and 18^th………well the 11^th was not a scheduled track day but we all wanted to head out there cause it was going to be FastOrange's last chance to run before deploying. Rain!! So we could not run.  So on Jan 18^th, FastOrange was still in town (last day) and it was our scheduled track day.  We all met up at Hardee’s to eat before we headed to the track. Well the weather looked okay but in the end the track closed due to temps.  We ended up having two new guys show up, Joey and Scott (Speedjunky), at Hardees.  It was great to have them come and check us out.

Jan 25^th was our make up Track date.   Early in the am the weather didn’t look too promising and sure enough the track was closed again!! But we ended up meeting at Fudruckers anyways which turned out one of the nicest cars to join the club thus far.  Mark and his wife (WOHHORSY) came out from Wilmington to check us out.  Mark has a GT 500 Super Snake with the 725hp set up!!! We also had another newbie, Brandon from Wilmington with his black 02 conv GT, come out too.  Bryan, one of our first members, made it out and was great to finally have him around. We ended up just hang out, eating lunch, and taking pictures.

 I just want to thank all the members who could make it out to all our meets this month.  The weather was a big factor but this time of year it is to be expected. It also goes to show you how strong of a club we have because our members still showed up in support even with no promise of good weather.  WOT would like to welcome Joey, Mark, and Terminator to the club. WOT also wants to  thank Speedjunky and Brandon for checking us out.  Hopefully we will see you all at our next meet. Remember we have Super Bowl party, a Raleigh cruise, and a Track Day coming up this month.  Don’t forget to make an order for you T-shirts and we will be having another mass buy for banners soon.  See you guys next month!!
