Okay so this guy has cams for my Stang that he's pretty much jus giving to me. They're still in the box and haven't been installed in a car yet. All I know is that the manual in box said Ford 4.6 2V 1996-Up. Good buy? And what should I look? Am I supposed to have one or two camshafts? And yes, I'm still fairly new at the engine side of my car. _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

It's Comps Cams. And no it's not stock, I don't think. So it wouldn't be good to get just one then, huh? Good thing I didn't buy it yet. _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

| If they are real comp cams in the box and he is pratically giving them to you get them. Even if they are too radical for you I'm sure you'll be able to sell them. |

Yeah but it was only one cam shaft. Not too well of a deal if I need two right? _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

So since that's pretty much just a bad deal, when I do want to get some cams what should I look for and which cams should I get? I'm eventually planning on putting twin turbos on my Stang like Swervo has. Is cams a good thing to have with the TTs? _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

Anything to help flow is good but you have to buy cams that are set up for power adders such as s/c or turbo plus better heads and intake. I would either set the motor up for a turbo i.e. heads, cams, intake, or get the turbo on first then add the heads, cams, and intake. But of course you can only go so far with the stock bottom end. _________________

Thanks Chris. I'm probably going to end up setting the engine up for the Turbos first. That kit is mighty expensive so that might be a little while until they come into play. _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

What kinda block are you looking at? When the time is right I am going to with MMR or Livernois short block. _________________

I thought about keeping the stock one because it's said to be able to handle the high horsepower, but if all else fails then I'm going to go with the new Aluminator by FFRP. I've heard some great reviews about it so far. _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

Stock block 2v can only handle 420-440 rwhp at most. Anything more is asking for it. If that is your goal then you will be fine. I want closer to the 530-550 rwhp down the road. _________________
