A good trick to use if it is already in is take a white grease marker and go across your pinion teeth and then rotate the wheels and see where the marks are on your ring gear. That should tell you what needs to happen to get it right......in, out, over, ect...

thanks i will deff try that . that makes alot of sence.

Also i have a question i was wondering what the best heads for my 03 gt would be?

agreed with mark, lots of ways you can go, its all about what your going to do. if you just buy stuff with out a plan and just piece stuff together it will never flow together.

Mark and Tyson are right. Think about what your future plans are, forced induction I.E. turbo, supercharger, nitruos ect. If you put your plans out we can steer you in the right direction.

if you wanna go big you should get a heads/piston combo that way you dont have to worry about valve to piston clearance also it depends on what kind of horsepower you plan on using... the bigger the cc and flow etc on the heads the more clearance issue you will run into

if you buy the cam now for your turbos your car will more than likely run like shit because you either gonna have to get a custom cam or a cam made for turbos not for n/a i will do some research and see if i can find a good combo for you.... my advice would be to put the turbos on first and build off of that

Patriot Performance 4.6L/5.4L SOHC 2V Stage II Cylinder Heads i have heard this is a good head setup you dont really have to change out pistons with it but you probally should... im more of a 5.0 guy but the further your vavles open the morproblem you will have with the piston and valve clearance also your cam will play a tremendous factor in what you valves will do

Go with TrickFlow heads and intake if I was u. What kinda boost u want to run and what short block are u looking into? Check out this link and consider staying with stock heads. Stock 2v heads can handle 600 hp with the right valve spring set up. But this is on a built bottom end.

You can also call Modular Powerhouse. They have custom grind cams and ported heads. I have their Centri cams and stage 3 ported heads-together they made awesome numbers, I already had my procharger on the car though. Mark is right on having the power adder on first, the car won't make good power or could run rough if you install a cam that doesn't match the car's setup.
