dont they sell DOT approved smoked headlights?

Mine are only a tiny bit darker than the stock smoked lenses. I think maybe they're not approved because of the clear turn signals??? But I have stealth bulbs in there. They're clear when they're off and light up orange when on. I think I'll go try out in town before I buy new lights. Maybe I'll get a pass somewhere else.
