Calendar Photo Opps.

WOT members, we are working on getting a 2011 Calendar. In order for us to pick which members will be featured in the Calendar, we will take the 18 top members (by points) by the end of May and vote on 12 cars out of those 18 for the calendar. Once we have our 12 cars for the calendar we will set up 3 different meets between June and July to have pics taken of all the cars. Our goal is to have the calendars ready by Fall of 2010. We also hope to have our sponsors in the calendar. If your are in the top 18 but wish not to have your car voted on we will go with the next member in points. So if you really want to be feature in this calendar please make every effort to get as many points between now and May. If your have any questions or comments please feel free to post.

that sounds like a good idea. but remember there are alot of wot members that are deployed and have nice rides also. I know this isnt the clubs fault but just wanted to bring that up. This type of thing should be voted by all members on here and maybe guest not a point system. I would suggest tha everyone who would like a chance to get their car voted on, should enter pics on here and the top 12 or 18 get to be on the calendar. Ive seen this done on the Mach 1 website and a few others. It worked out perfect they just chose the best pictures that were entered. I think this will be fair for everyone since some get a chance to go to events and some dont for one reason or another.

I know with the military thing can be a issue. We have good members like Fastorange going to be gone and Scott and tiddies later on too. We are trying to come up with the best way to be fair to members who support the club. Unfortunately even guys like Scott and Ryan might not be in it.

I don't want to pick the best looking cars because this club isn't about show cars ( performance minded club). Plus that isn't fair to those guys who just don't have the money to dress there rides up. Picking random cars out of a hat isn't fair too because we might just pick members who don't even show up for anything. So this to us, is the most fair way we can do it. Other ideas, are welcomed and may even be used. Keep them coming.

the problem is we cant have x amount of cars when we will only have y amount of votes

this is a pretty good idea, i understand what towgunner is saying about people being deployed but if theyre deployed its not like we can take pics of their cars for the calendar anyways.
IMO i would say 11 cars and one club photo, i was looking at this, where we got our banners put on, we could take some ladders and have someone climb those one stoy buildings and take the pics from there that way we can get all the cars in.

The club photo for like December would be cool. What about doubling some cars up in a photo for a few months as well.

i mentioned it before, but it was lost in the site crash. We could do the regular pics on the top half of the calendar with the days on the bottom half, like a traditional calendar, but with a fade-a-way pic behind the days on the bottom. That will leave 24 pics open in stead of 12 for the year.

we can argue about this all day and all night but the admins have tried and looked at this everyway possible.. to be blunt about it someone is gonna get their feelings hurt because we cant fit everyones car in the calender... the points system is really the best possible way to get the 18 to vote from, everyone has nice cars we understand that but we cannot incorporate every single car.... sorry
