So, I picked up a 61 mm (garret) turbohorsepower kit for Ponygurls ride a couple of weeks ago. Ponygurl wanted to keep it on the down low and it drove me nutz cause I needed help finding supporting mods to get this beast installed by March. So if any one runs across some 42 lb injectors (s197) for a good price let me know. I am getting a BAP from Holcomb, so that is covered. I just need advice on plugs and where to get them. Supporting gauges are covered (wide band and boost gauge) but I need a gauge pod, pillar style if anyone c's one let me know. Also, I may look into getting a clutch as well just cause of the extra tq may fry the wimpy stock one.
I am only running this on 6 psi which will put the car round the 460 rwhp range. This is our weeked car and will see very limited track time so that is why I only plan on low boost. With stock rear suspension and MT's I expect the car to go mid 12's with the right driver, mabe even low 12's (fastorange). With my sorry azz driving probably high 12's and ponygurl.......well lets hope she can beat Tyson!
The last few Mods after this turbo will be visual mainly a new hood (GT 500KR). Our goal for this car has always been to just have a great looking street car with a nice power adder and we're almost there! _________________

| Your gonna wanna run autolite HTO's for plugs and make sure you do the clutch before the turbo goes on. No sense in removing most of the piping after you just installed it. What kinda price are you looking for on injectors? I find them all the time. |

Here's GT500 injectors for $200 shipped. So your not confused within the thread these are rated at 47# at 38.5 psi fuel pressure and 52# at 42psi. I already have a set of these ready to go on the new engine.

Althouh I'm a huge fan of the SuperCharger whine, lately I've been really interested in turbos. Congrats guys. Car's gonna run as good as it looks once this is done. _________________

Well mark I wouldn't worry about it cause my car will probably not get to much more done over the next year due to the purchase of this kit. I honestly hope to get some long tubes for it soon and then that will be it for along while. The wife wants to go on a couple of trips while we are still young (cruises, califorina, Hawaii, etc) in the next couple of years. So my build will be slow process after the long tubes, just happy that my car can do 12's for now. But in the end, this little 2v will be track only car when it is all finished (if there is a finish in this hobby!!).
What clutch do you guys recommend for ponygurls ride? Any links would be great. With the idea of having to get a clutch it may take longer than March to get her done but it will be well worth it. _________________

| I like the roush P-51 clutch for applications under 500 rwhp. It uses the stock pressure plate with an upgraded disc. Other then that I'd have to say Mcleod twin disc. |

Taking a step closer, so far we have 39lb injectors (should be here monday), wideband A/F gauge, and boost gauge. I still have to get set of plugs, BAP, gauge pod, and a couple of misc items. _________________
