I have had loads of people in this club tell me that the wouldnt mind going to different tracks, different areas to try and get more members in the club. and also that sundays works better for this guy or that guy cuz he/she dont have to work.. Where are all these people at when we have had this stuff schedule WAY in advance to go out of town?

Just Curious us as admins get a little fustrated when we plan stuff out like this at the request of members and then noone show up...

Now i know people work and sometimes their schedule gets changed or what have you im not saying anything to them.

Let it out Mark, anyways WOTMC lets make it a point to "try" to make some more out of town meets. We had a really great turn out last month for Dyno Day and for the most part we get a good turn out but this is the third time we have had a Fayetteville track meet that didn't pan out. Not "bitching" cause I am guilty of not making some events but look at the schedule to make plans to attend if you can but don't ask at the last minute "what time and where". We post it up so you know. If any changes are made the admins will announce it hopefully with enough time in advance. Anyways thanks to all those who are consistent on showing up when they can.

If there is a trend on people not showing up for far events then maybe there shouldnt be any events so far out espcially for racing at the track. I for sure was not going because if my stang were to break out there it would be a pain in the ass to get it back. Now i know there would be some members who would help out but thats not their responsibilty. Just saying some people see it differently. Anyways great little get together today finally met Mark. Nice ride you got there.

Hell, man you can break down 5 minutes from your house right? WOT can't grow if we don't get out of Jville right?

were not saying you had to race... dont have to race every time you go to the track.. it woulda been a nice little cruise and then watching some fresh face race

and cruising around the same areas all the time is boring

and this post was only meant to call out people that have talk to me about branching out noone else

so i guess new bern for ricer nite is to far for you to cruise to also, where do you hold all of your "cruises" and "photo opps" you always talk about anyway? Just in the j'ville area where it is convenient for you in case you break down? I have seen the battle ship twice now in the last 6 or so months, and before then if i had ever seen it, it was when i was really, really little. If i dont make something it is because of work only, i have turned down family birthdays, and all kinds of things to be with the club. I didnt have a choice to be on night shift,so i am missing some events, but am i getting point for these events that i am missing? NOPE, just like if anyone is deployed is not either!!

My car's down right now that's why I haven't been to a lot of functions lately. And it's just not the same without the blower the past couple of months, so I haven't been driving it much at all.
Plus, winter is just getting past us with the bad weather so I expect there will be more people coming out to functions soon.
Why did we need to call it off? If we only have four to a half dozen people that want/can go the day of the function, that's still a section of the club representing. I know me and Matt were really looking forward to it.
The thing with breaking down, yeah you can break down anywhere, but you're more likely to break when you're pushing the car at a drag strip rather than cruising around; and the closer you are to home the easier it is to get the tools/parts and even a trailer if need be because you are close to home and know the area. I understand the concern about being away and breaking at the track far from home, but that is why we roll "DEEP". No one here is going to let a fellow WOT member to fend for themselves. Hell I broke at the track in Jville ( I live in Hampstead) and my fellow WOT members got me fixed in time to make a couple of more passes. Thanks to Twinscrw and Speedjunky I wasn't left hanging. Beside when we do actually go a long distance to race no one says you have to race. If you are worried you may break don't take the chance is how I feel but doesn't mean you can't come out. Like I said no one is "bitching" just hoping to have good turn out espically to promote the club.

i dont like going anywhere far unless its for a special ocasion, some kind of big car show, mustang week bike week, stuff like that, theres a race track right here if i want to race. so thats why i dont go anywhere far everyone has their own opinions, i know if i broke down as much as it costs when your far away id be screwed. at least here i can call in some favors

everyone has took this post the wrong way....

i was only calling out the people that have told me that they would like to branch out more.... there is nothing else to it

I wasnt calling people out because of their job, wasnt calling anyone out because they didnt want to drive to fayetteville, didnt call anyone out that hasnt told me they wouldnt mind branching out further and getting more member from different areas

if you took it the wrong way im sorry but you must have miss read it

and if you havent talked to me about branching out away from j-ville or wilmington then im sorry if you took it the wrong way
