From what I understand the 4.0 have a stronger bottom end so like Jeff said it will handle more then 10 psi of boost. As far as gears we are about to put this turbo in ponygurls ride and we have 3.73"s. I think that will be fine (border line) if not we will step it back down to 3.55's. Anything stepper is way to much.
