I think that's just the intake, could be the heads though. They used the 5.0 up till...I think 97 or 98 in the Explorer.

If you get the gt 40p heads you might have to get new headers as well

gt40p heads require new headers specific for the heads due to the change of plug angle... any 5.0 explorer would work make sure the heads have 4 raised ribs on the front and back and your good

x2 to what Mark said. 4 raised ribs=GT40p and 3=GT40. Its a good "cheap mod"

Regular Un-equal length BBK shorty headers will work with the GT40-P heads.

I don't remember the exact years, but its something like 95-96 1/2 have gt-40 heads and from then on have gt-40p heads. Your intake will work, but if its stock you should go ahead and get the explorer intake as well. The valve covers will work also.

I've heard that too but i didn't know for sure so i didn't wanta say. The first set of heads i ever bought were GT40p's and thats the headers i had on my car, my buddy told me they'd work but i'd have to put a "plug boot cover" on. I sold them and bought the Twisted Wedges before i ever put em on anyhow.
