First off, I just want to say that I've never wanted to put nitrous on my car. But after watching this video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iNQzORkpaw

...and reading through his build thread on another forum, it seems like Nitrous might actually be kind of fun to mess around with. And he didn't have the work done to his car that I do. But even though it still seems fun, I really just want to continue with the motor build. I must say though, running 12's sure would be nice. What do you guys think? Let me hear the pros and con's, and if you think I should look into it or not. If it did happen, I would still build the motor after the nitrous install. I just really want to go freaking faster already!

I ACTUALLY RAN NITROUS ON MY LAST 02 GT WITH A MILD SET UP. AND YES, IT WAS A BLAST ON THE TRACK. JUST DONT REFER TO IT AS NOS. I HAD A FEW GUYS TELL ME NOS IS AN IMPORT TERM, CALL IT NITROUS. ITS A GOOD RUSH FOR THE PRICE TOO. IM ACTUALLY THINKIN ABOUT GOIN WITH IT AGAIN. JUST MAKE SURE U HAVE A WINDOW SWITCH FOR SAFTEY ON THE MOTOR. ONLY LETS IT SPRAY B/W CERTAIN RPM'S. I GIVE IT A THUMBS UP FROM EXPERIECE. I HAD THE WET KIT BY ZEX ON AMERICAN MUSCLE. ITS A GREAT KIT IF U DECIDE TO GO WITH IT. LOOKED NICE IN THE CAR TO. I HAD IT IN THE TRUNK. THE SWITCH REPLACED THE CUP HOLDER. I HAVE PICS AS WELL. MY OPINION THOUGH IS A PLUS FOR THE MONEY. HOPE IT HELPED.

I don't believe that. It just wasn't ever really something I was interested in. I'm still leaning towards just building the engine, but it would be cool to run mid/high 12's.

Why are you typing in caps lock? lol!

Is it possible to take the bottle out when your just driving on the street, and then put it back in for the track? And could I have two tunes, one for street and one for the Nitrous at the track that I could just switch between with my handheld tuner? If so, I might look into it a little further.

THEY HAVE DIFF SIZE NOZZLES, (SHOTS) 75-100-125 AND SO ON. I RAN 75 ON THE TRACK FOR MY FIRST TIME BC I WAS KINDA NERVOUS AS TO HOW THE ENGINE WOULD REACT. MY BUDDY RUNS 100 SHOT A FEW TIMES A MONTH ON A STOCK 5.0 and its fine. 75 is low but safe and still a difference. you can switch the nozzles out whenever. The bottle you can take out youll just have to un hook the line and unscrew it from the holder. Not a problwm though. your holder will be screwed to the car usually though. mine was anyway.

YES, I WOULD HAVE TWO TUNES, ONE FOR THE 75 SHOT AND ONE FOR 100 OR WHAT EVER YOU GO WITH. ITS IMPORTANT.

Awesome, thanks for the info man. I'm probably gonna do some reading, just to see if it's something i'm interested in doing for real.
