How many miles do you have to drive before the car is inspection ready?

i talked to the inspector I sent 6stang99 to and he never said anything about driving any miles, as long as there is no CEK light when started and they can hook up and run it up to 1800-1900 rpms with no light your good.

There's no set amount of miles. Its when the readiness monitors turn on. With your O2's turned off 3 of your readiness monitors will never come on so you won't ever pass an OBDII inspection. They say to drive so many miles to allow time for those monitors to come up ready, but there's no set miles. Sometimes they'll come up within just a few miles and others you'll have to drive an hour.

Someone should give Matt special points for using pictures. It's almost as entertaining as that damn chicken that TwinScrew used to post at random points in a conversation.

When I put a new battery in the HD, it took about 15-20miles for the inspection station to be able to read the obdII
