When I got my car inspected the guy said I was throwing a 1309 code, and he said it had something to do with my camshaft sensor. I just looked it up and I'm now reading that code 1309 means:

P1309 -- Misfire Detection Monitor not enabled

Can anyone tell me what this means and how I could possibly fix it to pass inspection. It's the only code i'm throwing right now.

haha. Me either. I'm gonna be doing some research now. My ass hurts from sitting in my seat as much as I've been lately trying to collect up all of the mods and parts for my current project. I guess some more research won't hurt.

Well, it looks like the guy at the shop was right. This is what I've found:

"Make sure the cam position sensor syncronizer is installed properly it is located under the coil pack in the front middle of the engine. If the syncronizer was never removed just replace the cam sensor bolted to the top of the syncronizer."

Guess I'll check the sensor first. If that doesn't fix it I'll have to get the alignment tool and see if we aligned this thing right.

I've changed my mind and I'm gonna try to fix the check engine light real quick to get it inspected soon. Then I'm gonna do the other mod work. Thanks for the heads up Stacey.

OK, well I replaced the Cam Position Sensor today, and man was that a bitch with the new intake manifold being all up in the way. Well it seems now that the code P1309 has gone away, and hopefully it stays away. But now I have a P0122 code, which is: (Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Low Input) Fuck my life...

I've read some of the possible problems/solutions, and I'll try to see what I can do. So sick of this shit. My car needs to get inspected asap and re-registered, and it just keeps giving me shit.

The law reads that after being behind 90 days on your inspection, you ar subject to a fine of up to $250 through the mail. Just trying to clear things up a bit.

Hope you get the problem fixed soon man. Wish there was more I could do...If only you had a pre 96 model...

Check the wiring and make sure it has a good connection. I remember you having some loose ends........... don't remember if they were tps wires or not.
