Wow...ok apparently it's impossible to make posts on POS NMCI machines. Go figure. Anyway...

What's up guys. I talked to a few of you guys about a month ago at the track so I thought I would check out the site. I have an 09 GT (black) and I've already got the itch before I have even made a single payment on the car, haha. So much for my warranty. Here are my current mods:

-Kooks LT headers
-Kooks X-pipes w/ high flow cats
-Corsa Extreme cat backs
-Steeda CIA
-SCT SF3 Xcal tuner

Installed everything myself with a couple friends. Long process but it was worth it. Only problem is I am getting the infamous Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold CEL. I'm guessing I need to reprogram the tuner to shut off the rear o2 sensors. Figured I wouldn't have to do that with the high-flow cats. I'm using Bamachips custom tunes right now. Not sure if it would be be better just to go to National Speed to get it custom tuned. Guess I could put it on the dyno at the same time.

Well, hope to see you guys at the next street legal drags at Coastal. I haven't manned up and run it on the track yet...one of these days I will.

John

Are you using the preloaded tunes in the sct or custom? If your using the preloaded one you can turn the 02's off with the handheld. Don't know if it matters to you, but you won't pass OBDII inspection with the rear 02's turned off.

Using Bamachips preloaded tunes. Running the performance tune 93oct right now. I didn't realie I could turn the o2s off myself. Of course, I just programmed the ECU then threw the tuner in the back seat and hauled ass down the road to test it out lol. Haven't messed with it since then.

The Bama tune is a custom tune that was preloaded in the sct before you got it. By preloaded I mean the tune sct supplies with the handheld. You won't be able to turn off the rear 02's with that tune.

Ok np. Guess I'll have to take a trip to Fastlane. Anyone know about how much it costs to get on the dyno and tune?

Oh, or I could just have Bama send me a tune with the o2s turned off...assuming that would fix the problem. Planning on registering the car in Washington state once my NC registration expires so I never have to do emissions again. Never wanted NC plates in the first place. NC can suck it. They are worse than Cali.
