I say dont bother unless you're gonna do longtubes. Longtubes bairly gain anything and I dang sure wouldnt put myself through the hassle for something that wouldnt give me any gains.

but those cast iron manifolds are unsightly plus they take so long to cool down. i'd like to be able to get the heat out of there quicker when i go to the track... what equal length shorts headers aren't gonna help? just because I want to keep my cats doesnt mean i cant get equal legnth headers.... BTW Dave did you gut those cats yet?

Try to find some that use 304 stainless as their material. There isnt a better exhaust material out there. JBA's look good but they're 409 stainless, still a good material though. Also BBK has some, I think are mild steel but they are ceramic coated. I've always liked their quality to price, good quality at a great price on their products. There may be a good chance you'll need to tune the car after any header install and I know how you like running that ford canned tune so keep that in mind too.
