So I bought the Cobra Motor and Transmission from Fastlane and stuffing it into my 01 GT.
Getting a new hood and fuel tank and Fastlane is locating the rest of the items needed to get it done.

Dropping the car off soon and will be either putting up pics myself or Taylor from Fastlane will hopefully keep a new updated thread of the project.

Here is a video of the motor when it was in the cobra:

That should be a sweet swap.

I just found out a few months ago that a 4V will bolt right in place of a 2V and you can use the 2V wiring and computer Wink

Ya most of the harness will bolt up except a couple things but fastlane said they could make it work. Pretty excited about it. Makes 650 hp with 18 psi I told them to tune it down to about 12 to 15 psi to have some longevity...

Is the drivetrain stock or do have some upgrades coming along with it?

I already have a rebuilt 8.8 with royal purple, upgraded carbon clutch disc and 31 spline axles. I will be using a new driveshaft that Fastlane is getting cut for me made from steel and a driveshaft loop.

Sweetness. Did you score the tranny as well? Might be too much hp for a stocker tranny.
