i just got my sct in the mail with bama tunes and of course in the middle of the night i went out and put the tune on, well i tried two different tunes and when its done my car wont start, the starter doesnt even do anything. so i changed it back to stock and the car is not the same, idle goes really low sometimes, i dont think my car had a stock tune to begin ith cus of the 4.10 gears and jlt cai, so i figured it would replace the tune with whatever i had before but i guess not. i dont know what else to do.

Ouch man... sorry to hear it. I've had those 'gotta do it in the middle of the night projects.' Never worked out well for me either.

If your car didn't have a stock tune to begin with, things could have been adjusted in the process that you didn't know about (plug gap for instance). Are you close enough to FASTLANE to limp it over there and have them tune it correctly? Got AAA? Towing's cheap with them for a car that doesn't start.
Keep us posted.

Your gonna have to have it flashed back to stock from Ford. You can probably call SCT and they'll probably be able to help. If not Ford is where you'll get your fix.

I drove it to work. It drives like shit but it drives. I think its the tunes they gave me because I put tunes in my buddies car and this was differently mainly at the end instead of telling me to turn on the vehicle it tells me to turn off the key and if I do the proggrammer doeantndo anything elseit just goes back to the first screen
.

SCT should be able to source the stock ford tune for you. Call them up and your going to have to tell your 4 digit code so the can give you the correct stock code.

also, if you put your programmer on another car beware. There's a guy down the road from me that thought it was cool to put his SCT on everybody elses cars to show them how much power he could get outa it, untill he did it the 5th or 6th time and locked out his programmer. He had to pay SCT like $90 to unlock it so he could put it back on his car.

Getting them on the tuner is easy. Go to sct's website. You'll have to download the software. Once you do that connect your tuner to your computer. Open up the software and you should be able to select to upload new tunes. Just replace your old one's with the new and go flash them on to your car.

like i thought, it was the tune itself, ater i got of the phone with bama tuning not even ten minutes later i had new tunes in my e-mail, i think that they put in the wrong year cus he asked me the year a couple of times, i put in the 87 economy tune and wet for a ride , i was making a u-turn in the back of some subdivision when i noticed my tires wanting to spin on second more than ussual, so i stopped completely and dumped the clutch on second gear, no clutch slip whatsoever and the tires just smoked, i only held the pedal down for like a second but it felt awesome. now i need to find somewhere to go that theres no po-pos around so i do some burnout videos!

but anyways thanks to everyone for trying to help me today, its what i love about this club, we all help each other out.
