Ok so I know my girl is a little slow but I am getting conflicting reports on what HP rating the 93"s have. One article said 225 and another said non-cobra motors were 205! I mean this is just not cool that a damn import could tear me up. So,short of putting in the 347 I have built on the engine stand,is there any way to get more out of the motor? There isn't but 46k on the motor so I was thinking supercharger but that still wont be enough I'm sure. I want it to still be comfortably streetable without the issues.

Any suggestions?

currently I've only done what almost every stang already has: BBK CAI,off road h-pipe with flowmasters and she has the stock gears in it which i also want to change.....

You could start by swapping intakes. I have a set of GT40p intakes for sale. They're the same intakes that the '93 Cobra's use.

drop in the 347 and forget about it... only way to get big power off a pushrod is to spend a good chunk of change on either parts or supercharger...

there is no replacement for displacement

340 ish at the wheels is about what you will get with the 347. And if you super charge it around 450 ish. What have you done to the suspension. You have to get that right to put the power to the ground. Not sure how much hp you are looking for. But I would say that 530 ish is the max you will be able to get.

That would be a good start lol. I haven't done anything to the suspension except a lowering kit. I figured before I go putting any kind of substantial power to it,subframe connectors and strut tower brace would have to be done.

Anybody wanna help put in the 347 then? lol

if you expect to get much power outa that 347, then you better go ahead and girdle it before you split the block, i have both a main girdle and a valley girdle on my 347.

Girdles just hold the pieces together after they explode...
90% of the time a rod or piston breaks and destroys everything...

The last 5.0 to have 225hp was the 91, 92 and 93 they dropped the forged internals which cut power down to 205, the 5.0s in the 94 and 95 were aneimic but torquey.
Early 4.6s were jokes unless you severely modded them. Though the modular program has obviously paid off.

I would go with a built 347, I think Fastlane has a built race ready 5.0 Block from Ford Racing, check with them.

if u go with the 347 stroker...ford offers their boss 302r block at around $1700...dart is pretty good for their windsor if u decide to go with a 351w stroked out(390,408,427 kits)... you'll start to have some fitment issues with the stock front if you step it up to a 460 or 502 block

but like others said...there is no replacement for displacement =)

subframe connectors, upper & lower control arms, k member swap, coil overs are some good things to invest in no matter what power plant you have. if you cant plant the power to the ground, you're throwing money out the window
