I have heard a lot of comments about how these mufflers sound on the S197's but have read an equal amount about how bad they drone....horror stories about purchasing them just to take them off within 200 miles to save their hearing! Are they that bad? Should I pick up some resonators also? Help me out guys, I really want Macs on my car.

like i told you the other night, I'm never going with Mac again. Fitment was BAD with my headers. I know these are axle backs so theyll prob fit better anyhow, but just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I had Mac H pipe on my old GT and they fit just fine. As far as drone, it all really depends on the muffler. What kinda of sound you looking for? Hollow or raspy?

Definately deep and hollow! Looking to go with shorties and an O/R H-pipe as well.

Macs sound awesome! Matt has them on his fox. The drone from them won't be unbearable unless you get rid of the cats also.

Well that will be money saved on the O/R H. The damn things look nice as hell on the outside, they are completely polished...muffler and tip!

I appreciate it guys but i am pretty leary of buying from people I don't know unless it is local. I will bite the bullet and spend the extra $80 on new ones from LMRS.
