|
|
In a few months I plan on painting the cobra. The paint looks fine, but it's not up to my standards so I'm gonna disassemble the car and paint it like it needs to be.
I'm tossing around the idea of putting a custom paint job on it like a candy orange or tu-tone it some combination. I don't like doing stuff like that cause it'll de-value the car, but at the same time I could make the car look one of a kind. What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards keeping it sonic blue, but I'm not throwing out the idea of changing the color. |

Can you keep it sonic blue, but still throw in a subtle color change? Like how you painted the Fox and the color change is hardly noticeable unless in the right light and at the right angle. I think the sonic blue with a hint of some dark metallic green would be cool. If it's doable. _________________

I think a custom color would be best, not so much a two tone job, I think mabe 93' cobra teal green would be good color? Termi's look good as one solid color IMO _________________

I'd say if your gonna do it, do somthing different. Nothing outragious, just a suttle change. If you do orange, I did a '67 Chevelle in HOK Tangello Orange with ghoste flames once and it came out AMAZEING!!! _________________

I would keep it solid. And if you wanted to stay blue, Kona blue metallic looks awesome on the S197's. I can't imagine it would look bad on the
Termie. _________________ 13.03@104.9 mph. ARH LT's, MAC O/R Prochamber, FRPP 4.10's Moroso Spiral Flows, GT500 STB. |

I think Grabber blue, it would be the only cobra around, of that year, of that color... _________________ [img][/img]

The teal and atlantic blue look great! I seen a grabber blue convertible on svtperformance and it looked good also.
I really would hate to change the color of it, but since I'm gonna paint it anyways I'm leaving my options open. |

@ Josh:
They are a Honda club now but dont really push the WC name anymore. When we started it, it was a Mustang club. When Brent got outa Mustangs and into 4 cyls, the whole club changed direction. Kinda sad to see where what started out as a pretty awesome thing, has gone so far down hill. They supposedly have a turbo civic now that sombody says wants to run me. Have no clue where I came into their equasion, but some how i did. Just wanted to clear the air about my conections with WC.
Not trying to jack the thread so back on subject, I agree with the majority. A different shade of blue, nothing wild would be sweet IMO. |

Seen a teal green termi at Mustang Week a few years ago. Got to talking to the owner and it actually started life as a v6 but he had it all termi'd out and i would have never known (except for the paint). I have some pics of it somewhere. D3 had some nice pics and if i was to paint mine, teal just cause I always like the way they looked on the 93's. _________________

Yeah, I was supposed to be a founding member with my 90' 5.0 along with Brent. Glad I didn't! LOL!
