I was playing around with it today and set it to the 93 octane preloaded tune, which seemed to really wake it up! I adjusted my shift points and rev limiter, then tried the estimated HP and TQ. The instructions say to take the car through the entire rpm band in to get the closest estimate. So I coasted into fourth gear then ran fourth from 1500 rpm through 5200 rpm, which took me to around 132ish MPH. The final result was 281 hp 300 tq. How close is this? All I have done is a S&B CAI and canned 93 oct tune.

It's not exact, but they aren't way off either. If I had to guess I'd say from the #'s it gave you its within 10rwhp.

That's good to know! So when I get it dyno tuned, I can expect close to 300rwhp and 320rwtq? My goal over the next year and a half is 400rwhp N/A...how attainable is this without porting the heads? And also, how much power can the stock auto trans hold?

Don't expect 300rwhp with your mods. I'd say the most you'll see is around 275. Gotta remember your pushing the power through an auto. Don't even think your gonna get 400rwhp out of a NA 3V without doing some extensive engine work.......... the best ported heads, stroker big bore, cams, high compression, so on and so on.

Keep it around the 450 mark, just don't expect the trans to last forever. At that power level just like the engine you'll be pushing the limits of both.

...for a brand new replacement engine, I believe I would take the time to return it to stockish or at least attempt it!

I really hate to burst your build bubble - but I'm pretty sure there's these minor conflicts called "terms & conditions" of your warranty, set up by a bunch of really good lawyers who have nothing better to do than keep your car 'stock-ish' while under warranty. For heavens sake, you can't even change your oil on your own these days without voiding a warranty.
