they're right josh. I know of only 1 person whos gotten a new motor outa a warenty cuz of mods and they had to swap everything back to stock 1st, including the whipple. If you let them catch a slight glimpse of anything aftermarket their snatching that warranty.

I say screw the warranty and just build the crap out of it.
OR
Keep it semi-stock with the warranty and have fun with it until you sniff out another great deal (you seem to have the nose for it if this one is any evidence). Who knows - if you're the successful restauranteur, we might see you rollin in a BOSS.

Now we're talkin'. I was thumbing through Mach 1's on Autotrader and found one for like $4800. Pretty sure it was a 69. (somewhere in TX I believe)

There's a 429SCJ roller that comes with a disassembled engine and c4 for like $8500. I believe it's in charlotte. those things are pricey

You can get 400rwhp n/a out of that car if you really wanted to but its gonna take full bolt ons, cams, head work etc etc etc.
I don't think you'd have to do any internals or anything to get there.
My set up made close to 370rwhp and that was with a stock longblock so its possible.....
of course I went all out with my bolt ons

Oh and meant stock long block minus cams. But you get my point. If you can't pull 30 more hp out of a good set of heads and a new intake manifold then I'd be at a loss.

Josh, going to save you the trouble. By the time you get every bolt on, ported this, ported that, cam'd, etc. you would have spent that and more on a power adder on. Crystal 3v with a turbo is making 423 rwhp just on 6psi and cost us less the 4 grand (used kit) to do it. I had a chat with Hollywood and all of his bolt on's including cams and labor, he could have had a turbo or blower by now and be making more power. Now if I was you, I would focus on getting the foundation for a power adder, basically get your supporting mods taken care of. I wish we would have done it ourselves but someone, not sayin' names, like things done now!! For example we should have upgraded the clutch before doing the turbo install and it is going to be a pain to do it later on down the road. Just sayin' NA is nice but you lose alot to make alot of power NA mainly drivablitly.

My main reason for a NA build is my inability to throw down a ton of money at once on a power adder...it is much easier for me to drop a couple hundred a month on small mods.

I would love to go FI seeing as how I just found a Techno SC for 3750! I have been contemplating going NO2 with supporting mods for a year or so till' I can come up with some dough!

if you want to go FI why don't you take the money you would spend each month on other mods and put it in a savings account!

Just read a thread on them^^ Not a bad setup! Buy the blower then all i need are the supporting mods...blower cams, injectors, fuel pump....etc.
