so on my way back from the mountains today i get a phone call about my dogs from swansboro police telling me they have them.. i ask if my dad could pick them up since he was watching them.. they said yes... i call my dad and talk to him and said he just let them out 10 minutes ago... they escaped my fence and made it to hwy 24 in under 10 minutes... anyway my dad goes and gets them and puts them at his house in his fence... they find the only spot in the fence that isnt secured to the bottom rails and get out... this was at say... @1:00 when my dogs get out they are usually gone for 2 hours or so..never more than 4.. its 8 oclock.. both my dogs have tags.. my name number and address on them.. im assuming that someone has picked them up and not cared that they have owners... the only other explanation is they made it back up to 24 and got hit by a car... but ive been cruising the roads for the last 6 hours and havent even seen a trace of them or of any car damage scattered on the road...

i hate unhonest people... if they picked the dogs up and took them to the pound the could have at least called me... if they stole them from me and my 4 year old kid then i wish them the worst of luck... if they hit the dogs and put them in a truck or car... they could have at least called... shows what kind of country this is turning into... everything our four fathers worked towards...

Dude sorry to hear that man. I hope that they turn up safe and sound. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the return of your dogs. I think most people would be kind enough to call you if they have them but this world is strange place.

I really hope you find them man. My dog got out the other day while I was out, and luckily the lady that found him read his tag and called me. Hope the same happens to you sooner than later.

My man, I am SO sorry to hear that. It hurts reading this whole thread - I know how much of a part of the family pets become. They're like our own kids. Tyler's gotta be strugglin' with it - hell, Carie & I are just hearing the story.
Y'all are in our prayers.

it amazes me how people can just run over animals such as dogs and not even stop to see if they have a number to call, or how they can't seem to miss 2 large dogs such as yours. im sorry mark

I was wondering this myself. If you hit an animal you're definately gonna get out and check to see what all happened. You know they saw the tags and just didn't care enough to call. Assholes...
