I finished the swap on my brother's 87 GT . I ended up switching out the entire harness along with the computer, this was a lot simpler than soldering pins together and doing a bunch of guess work! FYI... There are at least two sensors that have different connections on the newer harnesses that will need to be spliced. All in all, not as much of a pain in the ass as I thought it was gonna be. Only problem is the car surges quite a bit...but i think it is nearly out of gas , the needle doesn't work properly.
Special thanks to 99NCSVT, Silverfox, and Vixen for all your parts! _________________ 13.03@104.9 mph. ARH LT's, MAC O/R Prochamber, FRPP 4.10's Moroso Spiral Flows, GT500 STB. |

Great to hear man! Glad you got her up and running again. It will take a little bit of driving for the computer to learn everything. Its almost like the computer goes into limbo mode when the battery gets disconnected. The more it's drove the better it will be. I know I had some of the same problems in the past on other foxes. When you fire them back up after the battery has been disconnected for awhile, they idle crazy, surge, and just act plain crazy for the first little bit. Plus if it's almost out of gas, that wouldn't help any either. LOL
No Problem on the parts man. Glad they got put to good use. _________________ 1990 Light Crystal Blue Notch

What kills me is this isn't even my fox! But my little brother is getting a learning experience from it... you should have heard the curse words coming out of his mouth when he was trying to get the old computer out! I'm hoping for around 280 rwhp...thinking of throwing an E303 in there also making it 539 lift which will put me within my spring tolerance of 542. Just thinking... _________________ 13.03@104.9 mph. ARH LT's, MAC O/R Prochamber, FRPP 4.10's Moroso Spiral Flows, GT500 STB. |
