My turbo build is pretty much exactly what I want out of my car eventually. What if i went the other way though??? N/A is the only option I never put much thought into.

MMR900 4v with Stage 3 heads and Stage 3 N/A cams, Long tubes, X-pipe, SLP-Catback. Just wondering how much cheaper it would be than a 9k turbo set up and what I could use off of my 2v and what I would need. More importantly what numbers would I put down with something like that to the wheels??

Any advice is taken 100% and Thank You all!

Honestly if you go with a built 4v you have room to grow. A turbo 2v on stock block is limited unless you plan on have block done after the build?

And if you go 4v why not a termi or new 5.0?

Well that is kinda what I was thinking man. I mean either way something is getting done at the end of this deployment I just don't have faith in running a 67 mm on a stock block lol I think with my luck it will blow up. I also don't know how much a fully built MMR 4v is gonna put out n/a with some decent cams and heads. I love my GT and really don't see any point in getting rid of it lol it would be my 5th car in 2 years. Plus I like the element of surprise.

How much are you wanting to spend? I can put a combo together for you. Also would you be paying someone to do it for you or doing it yourself?

if you do a 4v NA motor, leave the comp ratio low. So after the next deployment after that you can do the turbo. It's a stepping stone game man.

That is exactly what I was thinking about doing. I don't know how that would go with maybe set of n/a or turbo cams though without the Turbo, I mean wouldn't it run like shit because I have turbo cams but no turbo or n/a cams but a pretty low Comp ratio......and the turbo setup I had was gonna cost 9500 brand new. If I go any kinda boost it is gonna be turbo unless the price is just to good of a deal for a Centri/twinscrew/roots. I wouldn't mind having a 400 rwhp n/a 4v ( idk if that is possible ) for awhile and then boosting it later.

400rwhp in an NA 4v is possible, won't be a 4.6 though. there's some guys on the Mach 1 registry with big bore stroker+big cams setups making 400 to the wheels. i don't think they are all that streetable though, all that power is up at 7000. they are beasts though, NA machs that run low 11s

hmmm yea well haha I am not going to stray away from my turbo idea I just might get the engine before the turbo instead of the other way around. So if it takes all that to get 400 to the wheels I am guessing with turbo cams and no turbo on worked heads and a 4.6 4v from mmr is gonna put down maybe 330 to the wheels????

You can probably squeeze a little more than that out of them.

What are you looking for overall? A fast street car or track car? If your planning on running at the track you don't need tons of power to go fast (it helps dont' get me wrong) just a good overall combo of motor and suspension set up. Some of the fastest guys in club don't make a ton of power.

Here is another question? Have you ever driven or rode in a turbo v8 car? Turbo's are sexy.........but they are high maintence (compared to a twinscrew) and for street use they are not as "fun" unless your on a open highway. From light to light you can't get into boost all the time which takes the "fun" out of it. Not trying to talk you out of just passing info dude. Either way P51 has your back. Whatever you decide to do we can help. Like Jeff said if you want a good NA combo set up for now let us know and we already told you the deal on the turbo kit.
