Threw my car up on the ramps this evening, just the normal plastic ones and was going to slap my new O/R X-pipe on but realised I need a swivel or 2 for my ratchet to get up in there where it connects to the manifold. I'll take it on base tomorrow and just use a lift since I'm tired of scooting back and forth on the pavement lol. One thing I noticed is that the 2 O2 sensors on the bottom of the pipe are easy enough to get to and not too bad of a pain but how the heck do you get up into the one near the manifold? Not much space in that area to fit hardly anything in. Any recommendations on that or any other problems I may encounter while installing this x-pipe?

Just unplug what you need to and then remove the H pipe. After the H pipe is off the car remove the sensors then. Install them on the new X pipe, then install the new X pipe on the car and plug in your sensors. Enjoy the new sound of your car!

Dat'll do, I initially read some instructions off of american muscle and it just said to unbolt it from the rear pipe, remove the sensors and then unbolt the front and pull it off. It failed to mention how hard that top front one was to get to. Just got me some liquid wrench and a universal for my ratchet and it's time for round #2, time for the x-pipe to get knocked out lol.

Round 2 was a success Smile Went to advance auto this morning and got a universal joint for my ratchet so I could get it in there and crack them off. It was actually easier than expected. The only thing that stopped me a little later was upon installation of the x-pipe the top O2 sensor wire wasn't long enough. Off to advance auto again and bought a new one that happened to have a wire about 4 inches longer than the last, perfect.... About to go start her up and do a quick inspection for leaks. All done on ramps in my driveway so lots of skurrying back and forth for a 6'2" 200lb guy lol.

Glad you were able to install it without much hassle! If you want to cruise down to Myrtle Beach saturday for the last day of mustang week, just let me know... Trying to get a head count for the saturday morning cruise so I can come up with a meeting place.

It is what you make of it. There are planned events happening during the week but you are not obligated to attend any of them. It is just a good time to be among a group of people who share the same interests...MUSTANGS!!!
