So, since it might be a while until I can get another Mustang, I've been thinking about doing some work on the Fusion V6 that I have. So far I've found a lot of parts from Steeda but this supercharger kit has really been sticking out everytime that I look for parts. It's supposed to take my car from the stock 227bhp up to about 450bhp with this roots style blower. My question is what do you guys think about supercharging the Fusion?
Here's the link...

Are you going to race it? Never figure a fusion as a performance car. _________________

Thought about it. I've been reading up a lot about it and most of the die-hard Fusion owners use their cars for SCCA/Autocross events. A few drag race them too. They really do have a lot of parts out there for these cars, but they're hard to find. Steeda is the most known parts for right now. _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

Not to knock the produdct but 450hp is what the supercharger is capable of producing at peak output. Not worth the effort IMO. after purchasing the m90 kit, intercooler, oil cooler, trans cooler, and supporting mods you would be looking at around 7K. PLUS installation!
On the othere hand...A supercharged Fusion would be really unique! I know that's what you are shooting for. _________________ 13.03@104.9 mph. ARH LT's, MAC O/R Prochamber, FRPP 4.10's Moroso Spiral Flows, GT500 STB. |

Hell Scotts Saleen and Tours Roush had/have M90s on them from the factory and they make 380ish on a V8. It would be unique, but not worth the effort IMO _________________

Man, superchargers are sooooo expensive. Is there a lot of people that go out and buy them vice just getting a cobra or something with it already on there? That's a chunk of change. _________________

No, foxxx, this is for a Fusion. I don't think they really sell the Eaton M90 aftermarket for Stangs, do they? And the only reason I'd want to do this is so that I can.. 1) be different/unique (like I always do) and 2) so that I can enjoy my wife's car until I can get another Stang.
If I could afford a S/C Cobra right now, believe me I wouldn't be wasting my time on looking at a supercharger for a Fusion. Lol. I'd be looking to get a Cobra R bumper so that I could make a clone of the car you see in my sig... _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

I was talking about superchargers in general, not yours specifically lol. Seems most all of them are 5k+. If you can afford to drop 6k on a supercharger why not just trade the fusion in on a used cobra lol? _________________

Because she won't let me. Lol. It's still her car. She likes Mustangs, but she prefers any type of four door car that she can get her hands on. I tried to talk her into getting an STi once. That didn't work out too well in my favor. Lol. _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

Wow, I didn't know that. I thought Eaton was more of a factory style company. I learn something new today _________________ '95 5.0 Vert

| Is the Fusion your only ride right now shorty? If it is I would definitely not do it. It'll be down for a few weeks to a month and with it there's so much more stuff that can break |
