I'm so tired of seeing the posts all over svtperformance about how awesome 8-85 is, and how much more boost And timing you can run on the street:...... But the nearest station to me is like an hour freaking drive! I'm seriously considering getting a 100 gal tank, and getting e-98 ( better than e-85, burns like vp120) shipped in. Does this bother anyone else?

Isn't E-85 comparable to running 104-106 octane? That would be sweet! In the mean time, just dump you a bottle of NAWZ Octane Boost in your tank! LOL

Octane booster that you mix in with your gas leaves a residue on your plugs. Not good. If I didn't drive my car too far very much, I've thought about putting a tank in here at my house, but then if I drove the car very far i'd be screwed for fuel...

The octane booster comment was purely sarcasm. As for taking your car on a trip with E-85... not so good for fuel economy. One should expect up to a 20% drop in fuel economy as compared to 93 octane.

You also have to 'E-85 Proof' your mustang due to the fact that the fuel will eat up your factory fuel components if your vehicle was not built to run E-85 as an alternate fuel. Good luck with your quest for quickness!

I know, I was saying that incase anybody saw it and thought you were serious and thought they'd try it. Since I already have to put my new tank in, thought about just doing the complete system all at once. Going to MW would be my biggest issue, not really worth it for the caliber of my black car.

Not to mention cars on E-85 tend to run cooler. It'd be awesome to have that option around here though. FastO once told me if it were available around here, he'd be the first to convert his car over.

Converting would be well worth the power gains.

I'm planning on converting my Fox Body over to E-85 this coming spring. Probably just going to get a 55 gallon drum and me and a guy at work are dgoing to take turns driving to Conway SC and filling it up. He's going to run it in his GN.

There's a gas station right off I40 at exit 373 that carries E85. Probably a bit closer to you Heater.

I plan on having a back up 93 tune for emergency fill ups. As for it eating the stock fuel system, that isnt as big of an issue as most would think. I'll post up some good info throughout the day.

I was referring to the fuel system itself (lines, rails, etc.)
