It's not really a grinding so much as a whining of my gears that is getting on my nerves. My 2011 5.0 has the Getrag MT-82 6 speed and it's whining like a supercharger. What annoys me is how ford can make such an awesome motor for the 2011 and then put such a cheap ass trans behind it. That's just not very sound logic unless you want to replace A LOT of transmissions. When I went to the dealership with mine today, they had a new Boss in with trans problems (same trans) and it only had 2k miles on it. If I was that guy, someone would be getting me a new car or trans. Or both.

Tremec t-56 Mag is supposedly making a built transmission that gets rid of the remote mount shifter. the thing is they were supposed to release the damn this in 2009. they have been pushing the release back so much i highly doubt its going to come out for S197's

I hope they hurry it up. I wanna do this swap sooner rather than later.
In other news, does anybody know anyone that can rebuild my MT-82 trans and make it stronger?

Bud Anderson can go through it for you; don't think there are kits out to make it stronger.

From what I've been reading on the net; the transmission is a strong design, but the parts inside of it are poor quality. Downfall of cheap Chinese manufacturing.
