For sale is my 2012 lava red mustang gt with matching lava red leather interior. It also has the interior comfort package, brembo break package, 3.31 rear end gear ratio, sync radio with Bluetooth, 6 speed manual transmission. I would like to get $27000 for it but I am slightly negotiable. It only has 3200 miles but will get more as it is my daily driver. I can't post pics on this site from my phone so just call me at 910-620-0014 if you want to see it. I am currently working first shift at GE if anyone wants to see it in the afternoons near Wilmington. Msrp on my car is 37610 with its options. Has 2 and a half more years on the bumper to bumper warranty left as well.

I just want a better answer from ford other than it is the engines "natural characteristics". And they all make that noise, just some are louder than others. That is BS because mine and several others never had any noise until the first oil change. Ford probably put gear oil in my car to shut it up just to sell it and hoped the person who bought it would wrap it around a tree before the oil needed changing....I know this isn't true but this situation erks me. I will sell it for $26500 if someone one here wants it but that is as low as I will go.

Think Capital would do you any better? I've always heard bad things about Hugh Highsmith

I am going to call tomorrow during lunch and if Wilmington doesn't know anything I am going to call capital of Raleigh and see what they have to say. Everyone I have seen on the internet says it will stop within a few thousand miles, so maybe some outlaw axle backs would solve this ticking problem?!?!

What about the TSB for the tick/knock? Has it been done yet? Don't take this the wrong way but changing the oil every other day isn't gonna fix it.

They told him it was the oil/they changed it and it's still there. So TSB is next logical choice, but Ford rep told shop manager at that Ford lot not to do any warranty work on his car cause it's a normal issue on the 5.0s.

Did they cancel the warranty on it?? Shouldn't have. If the customer has a legitimate concern they will fix it. Either take it somewhere else or call Ford Customer Service. They will take care of the concern.

They didn't cancel the warranty on it. Just said they were told not to cover that on the warranty. He called FCS and from what he told me wasnt much help. They just told him to take it to another dealer, but from what he told me it was a Ford rep that told the first dealer not to warranty the TSB. So wouldn't that mean they'd do the same thing at another dealership?

No, if he has a concern, the concern has a TSB and its under warranty there should be no issue in completing the repair. If he can shoot me the VIN number in a PM and I will look at the Oasis report and see whats going on.
