For all those going down the 1/4 mile for the first time here is a couple of simple tips
Roll up your windows (so you can hear your own car).
Wear shoes that allow you to feel the petal (very little sole).
Make sure your seat is reclined up fully.
Avoid the water box with street tires.
On your first run don't worry about your time, just run for fun and to get know the track.

also make sure you turn your traction control off. If you have an 05 and up when you shut the car down in the waiting area it aoutomatically turns back on. im not sure about the 04 and older ones though
