UPS guy dropped my new rotors off today. Slotted and dimpled rotors. One question though, is it me or are these directions ass backwards for which side the rotors are supposed to go on.

Just ordered some more brake parts. Hawk HPS pads front and rear, speed bleeders (thanks for the idea Dan) and steel braided hoses.

I am going out on a limb and thinking you mean the rotors.... YES the do make a difference the amount a brake dust build up between the rotor and pad is greatles decreased plus they help to dissipate heat muct faster and allow for shorter stopping distance.

Yeah, but I have heard of rotors that are slotted and drilled just for looks, some come with warning label "these are not intended as performance brakes". I know Ford sells some that have this label. If it was from Baer, Power Slot, or Brembo I wouldn't have asked. I just have never heard of the site or brakes from them.

Usually drilled brakes have a strength issue and might crack under hard usage. That's why I got the dimpled version.

I have heard that also... But have never known anyone w/ a street car to have a problem... I usually just go with the slotted to be on the safe side... I think that the dimpling is something relatively new....I could be wrong
