so i ended up replacing all my brake pads today, and doing some other stuff ,but anyways, after all is said and done my right front brake is tight as hell, when i took it for a test drive and got back it was pretty hot in there, not to mention that it slows the car down significantly, i remember having this problem before, the last time i changed padsbut it wasnt this bad, and that caliper is fairly new, i dont have any issues that i know off with the rest of the brakes i worked on. has this happened to anyone else? and if so any suggestions? i noticed that when i tookl the old pads off that side was a lot more worn down than the other side and the caliper on the other side is even newer... any ideas?

i checked the dust shield, its good, i guess the pad wore down a lil and its not as tight but its still tighter than its supposed to be. i took it to the hobby shop on base and they said to get a new caliper, that caliper is not that old so i dont see why it would go bad so soon. and sice the caliper has gotten so hot it seemed like the bleeder valva is now welded in there because it wont budge at all... im out of ideas.

It could have been a multitude of things, rotor not seated just right, caliper has bubbles in it, pad not seated right, ect.... I'm not trying to tell you how to work on your car, I know that you know your cars Rican, just sometimes little things can get looked over.

It could just be a crappy rebuid on the caliper.... if you got it at autozone or advance it should have a warranty.... get it replaced.... just my .02 I don't screw around when it comes to brakes....
