Anyone every remove tint? My back window is peeling and I need to replace it. It cost just as much to take it off as it is to put it on. _________________

Honestly I really don't care about the rear defrosters, I don't drive it enough to worry about that. _________________

| well then peel the tint and scrape the glue off w/ glass cleaner and a razor blade but it will destroy your rear defroster.... there are otherways to get it of but it takes forever |

Get yourself some black trash bags...cut them..then spray them with with a 50/50 mixture of water and baby shampoo. Lay it over the tint for about 30 minutes. It should peel off very easy. _________________

I heard of the baby shampoo deal but not the trash bag thing. I am going to wait for a more humid day to get it done. Thanks for the info guys. _________________

I got the info before I took my Grand Cherokee in. The trash bags just hold the shampoo / water to the tint for an extended amount of time. It worked great. |

I will try it tomorrow if the weather is warm enough. I just gotta get out the old baby shampoo that I use so often. _________________

| I removed some from a friends car with defroster lines. Found out professionals use ammonia and a black trash bag on a hot day and let it sit for an hour or two in the sun. I did this and it pulled right off and didn't damage any of the defroster lines. |

Ponygurl got me some tint remover from autozone. I wonder if that and the trash bag will work? _________________
