Well, I have a small whole in the side of one of my et street.

Does anyone know of a tire shop that will repair the sidewall on a et street slick?

I have called around and no one wants to do it. Just want see if it holds, if not, ill pick another sooner or later.

No repairing a sidewall on any tire.... Period. If you want to keep running it you will need a set of tire tubes. But, if you run tubes you have to run rim screws.

It is now a felony for a tire shop to repair the sidewall of any type of tire due to the increased chance of a 'zipper' rupture.

Like someone said, buy a tube. IIRC tubes are cheaper than tires and they actually work really nice in bias ply race tires. I would love to have a set of them in my M/T slicks on my car....wouldn't have to keep airing up the tires if I did and they make the slicks more stable.

thats why i dont want to run tubes.

I dont understand they people have something againist slicks for being "unstable" at the top end. I love running slicks!!

i know your not suppose to do it, but i just put a plug in the side wall, they leak 4 psi in 24 hours. I just dont know how they would hold on the track, so i just boight another pair of 26 in to be safe.

As soon as that sidewall compresses under launch load the plug is going to blow out. You WILL wreck if you use that tire.
