Ok so I just want to see what everyone thinks about this.
The general guide to mounting a nitrous bottle has it on the 15 degree, or whatever degree it is, mounts with the nozzle of the bottle being the higher end. That makes sense to me as the syphen tube is on the bottom of the bottle.
They also reccomend facing the nozzle to the front of the vehicle, this also I guess makes sense, But i'm starting to question it.

The reason I even bring this up is because the guys at bnt mounted my bottle facing the rear of the car....and I of course was like wtf is that....the bottle is facing the wrong way lol.

But anyway, to my question. With the bottle being at 950psi when your using it, is there really any way possible for it to be sloshing around in there and cause it not to be picked up by the syphen tube merely because the force of the car launching or accelerating is pushing towards the back of the bottle, which in this case would be the nozzle.

I'm just not totally convinced that it can even slosh away from the tube with that much pressure in the bottle, so does it really matter which way the bottle faces???? I've seen them facing sideways before as well....and in some cases seen the bottle stood straight up for truck applications. Just curious.
Thanks

FatKid00 was gonna run spray on his car and was having issues with bottle positioning. Maybe he'll pipe in in a while, if not 01GT and FastOrange also spray and could lend some advice on the matter.

right on.
Hardlivewire its actually kind of backwards of what it looks. Although the nozzle is where the nitrous actually exits the bottle there is a long syphen tube which opens up at the bottom of the bottle so in the pics case the nitrous is moving away from the pickup upon acceleration, well thats the theory anyway.....wether or not its even possible for nitrous to move away from the pickup under 950psi is what i'm trying to figure out.

I've always heard the nozzle forward, on acceleration forces the thicker liquid back towards the syphon pick-up and the gas in the bottle stays up away from the pick-up.

Yeah, it makes sense. I guess either way its not worth trying anything different just to try lol. I'm still not sure why the hell they mounted it backwards in the first place. There the performance shop, i'm the idiot....let me make the stupid mistakes.

Backwards...
Valve toward the front and the opening from the nozzle pointing down...
The pick up tube has a bend in it to pick up from that point...(Bottom of Bottle)
It's kinda in almost a L shape in the bottle...

I agree lol. Just wondering if the nitrous can actually move away from the pickup under 950psi for it to make a difference. But I agree with all of you lol.

I get it, but a spray paint can isn't under 950psi of pressure either. Also its not essentially turning everything upside down its just whether or not the force of the car's acceleration can actually move the nitrous up a 15 degree slope away from the pickup tube under 950 psi....thats all i'm debating.

Ok...
For Example gas tanks and oil pans have baffles to hold the fluid close to the pick ups so they wont run dry...
I think it might work on the same principle...
The pressure pulls the fluid through with the pressure...
Kinda like a siphon...

Either way lol, my nitrous bottle better be mounted correctly next time I get a picture. It will really make me mad if I have to come home and redo it myself and then drill yet another hole so that the downtube has a new hole to exit the car. I just hope they read my email and saw there mistake before they mounted the downtube. I got the pic and emailed him right after it, that was night before last and no emails or new pics yet.
