Hey bro, The shop back home looked at my car today and said the DS was too big in diameter and its rubbing on the floorboard about mid ds. How did u have it on ur car and not rub? They said it looks like its gonna break if Im not careful. Im just curious what I need to do. Buy a smaller one, buy stiffer springs and bump stops, or try to widen the tunnel. Dont really want to widen it out though. I was just wanderin how u had it. Thanks,

Already answered your PM, but I'll do it here as well so anybody who has this problem knows how to fix it.

All aftermarket driveshafts hit the tunnel on S197's after its been lowered. The lower the car the more likely it'll hit. There's a certain spot in the tunnel the dips down just slightly and it causes the driveshaft to rub under hard acceleration. I didn't have this problem cause my car wasn't lowered much and I had the pinon angle set at -2. If your concerned about it have him take a hammer to the tunnel where it dips down.

Those are some serious heads! Sounds like the makings of a quick NA scooter! There is a guy named Matt from S197 forums that is runing very low 11's NA (11.11 with a 1.5x sixty ft) with livernoise stage 3 heads, full bolt on's, and stock bottem end.

why isn't your SCT any good any more? its not cuz your getting it tuned is it? if so, most shops will ONLY use SCT tuners to do custom tunes. So unless your going to a shop from where ever your from or Wayne in J ville, then your SCT should work fine. Unless you've married it too many times and it's lock, but even then you can pay to have it unlocked cheaper than getting another one.

I have free tunes for like and sent in a custom tune to american muscle which is usually does, Bama with SCT, and they told me my car is to heavily modified for an email tune so I have to take it somewhere. Im guessing the dyno. Im kinda knew with the whole dyno and tuning deal. I was good with email tunes from AM but now im not sure. So I can use my programmer still? What exactly do I have to do?

All you have to do is get all your mods installed and limp the car to a SCT tunner shop like Fastlane and have them tune the car.

Do you know how much it costs and how long it takes? There is a place near Atl which is where I live and if I use Fast Lane or Waynes Ill just have to drive it like 400 miles. U think itll be ok? I think wayne said like 450 for the dyno tune. You think its somewhere around there for fatslane? Or is it even the same thing? Im down for whatever is best.

all depends on preference really... fastlane tunes with the sct and wayne tunes with sniper... if all you need is a custom tune i would find some place that does SCT and go from there.... 400 miles is along way to limp a car somewhere unless you trailered it
