Well after reading a horror story from another forum......bascially guy had to have some repairs done that didn't require a road test (exhaust leak) but some how the car ended up wreck? That is the story he got first from the exhaust shop. Long story short he ended up finding out the shops owner had a son who took the car for a joy ride. Anyways some guys on the forum gave some good tips when having to leave your car over night or for a couple of hours. Take a picture of the odometer right in front of the staff just so they see you doing it (good idea to keep them from taking for spin). If the car has to be driven have a "valet" tune that basically detunes the car and also set a low rev limiter say like 3500. Last, they now have devices (designed for teenager drivers) that can monitor where you car has been or how far it was drivenm how the hard or lite the accelarator has been used and how fast car went overall (mph). Anyways just figure I would share these ideas with you guys just to avoid that kinda stuff from happen at general fix it shops. You never know what how shady some of these shops are!! _________________
