Well, I sold my Formula about 10 days ago, a steal at 15.5k on the c6z06 wheels. Been looking for a truck lately, i've got a few that i'm going to test drive, And guess what, they are F-250s (diesel)! Should be getting one within a week or 2. On another note, the Z is a few hours of fabrication/reassembly from being startable. Hope to get it out for at least one track even before I leave for Afghanistan in January.

I saw that you were taking the car to the track one last time, what did you end up running as a final run?

That z is going to be an animal I believe.

10.59@136. Nitrous just compounded my traction problems, and the tires were done, found cords showing in a few places (very minimal)

Speaking of the Z..this is what it looks like as of right now...look out now!!

Lesson learned stay away from the 6.0 diesels unless someone has done the EGR cooler delete and done head studs and head gaskets.

That's what i've heard, i've only been looking at 99-03's with the 7.3's in them. I found a couple really nice ones, but most the the decently priced ones are 200+ miles away. No big deal but makes it a lot harder to look at them, especially if they turn out to be pieces of crap.

As long as you get the EGR cooler and Oil Cooler done, don't need the studs and gaskets. Clogged oil coolers lead to failed EGR coolers lead to blown head gaskets. I love my 6.0 and going to be doing these mods when I return. Just got the coolant filter on order to hold things over till we get back.
