well my lowly 2 valve friends, time to talk about our stuff instead of the hundreds of 3v posts around here.

TFS finally came out with an aftermarket head for the 2v, its supposed to flow 03 cobra head numbers out of the box, and still be able to be fully ported. im excited.

Since i allready have my PI swap sitting at the house for the most part, i figured i would wait on the new TFS heads. I wanna see what the real-world improvements are before i sink 2k into it. I know most if not all by now of thier first run are accounted for by pre-orders.

It'll be exciting to see how much this will boost the 2v's respectability without going FI.

well, if you look at it like this its not.

a set of 2v USED heads will run you maybe 300 dollars. now to port them all the way out, and still not achieve the numbers that these get from the box, would cost you ~1500 dollars depending on shop.

thats 1800 for heads that still wont be as good. 2k for these is not bad, if they deliver as advertised.

then when you get more money saved you can have these ported for even more right pedal fun.

but ill admit, i stopped for a moment when i saw the price as well.

I read about those heads on Modulardepot, sounds like a winner any route you go, I'm thinking about a set for my whip.

Sometimes aftermarket heads are not produced as advertised.... I have seen many people have problems w/ 5.0 heads.... Trickflows numbers were way off and had to have the brand new heads cut .060" just to get the chambers to what they were advetised at....

modular depot developed the heads for trick flow. I have seen the flow numbers on them and they should be a big improvement over the 03-04 cobra heads especially with a cnc port job. I know trick flow will have a CNC'd version out before long. With the adjusted valve angles they should put the horsepower down. There is a good number of threads on these heads over at www.modularfords.com if you are interested in learning more about them

yeah i have been folowing that thread since day 1. Gregg over at TFS has been a big help there getting the latest scoop out to us.

from the latest, TFS will be delivering the "as cast" and CNC heads at the same time. im waiting for them to come out and the people that have 2k to spend buy them and see what they do. didn't want to pre-order and they end up being not as advertised. 2k is alot to me right now.
