Wondering what you guys would think,
Im considering findin someone with as nice of a 4r70w as my 3650 and swapping to auto. For more than one reason.
First, the wife refuses to drive my car, she can drive it, but doesnt trust herself with a stick, and wont drive it. Now this may sound good, but when we drive the car to my friends house or w/e, i cant drink because i HAVE to drive home. Im no drunk, but i like to show up in my nice car and i like to drink as well.
Second, the car doesnt see much street time, and hardly ever sees over 1/2 throttle on the street because i always have heather and emily with me.
And an auto on the track is much more reliable and consistant.
Third, Auto is just more convienient for trips, and stop-go traffic.
Now dont get me worng, rowing gears is fun, and mainly reason 1 and 2 are whats driving this. But my 98 was an auto, and with a j-mod and the xcal 3, it was very fun, and very tight shifting.
and yes i realize, real men drive stick, and OMG you will loose power, and autos are for girls, bla bla bla. save it, there are many legit reasons why i want it. An im sure someone will want the 3650 that has an auto. |

Auto is the way to go far drag. That's for sure, I was gonna do it to the white car till I decided to quit being a bitch and at least try it. Worked well IMO _________________

not much really, Mcleod Clutch, Tri-ax w/ hurst handle and ball, Alum. D/S, Alum. Flywheel, pretty much everything aside from opening the transmission, firewall and quadrant as well.
If i was to trade i would want the same 'level' of Auto, with at least a nice high stall, and a j-mod at least.
I mean, the alum. pieces, with the shifter and adjuster/quadrant is only worth a few hundred, but that clutch is near a grand by itself. And the 3650 only has 18k miles on it. and all the aftermarket pieces only a couple thousand miles. |
