Installs??

Who around the area would do a good job installing my heads/cams, gears and put a tune on it? BESIDES Fastlane, they suck.

what kind of heads / cams are you getting put on?

you can moret han likely do the heads and cams yourself, the gears i would have done, Majestic Motorsports in Jacksonville did mine and ive had no problems after maybe 10k miles.

I'm getting the Patriot 2V Stage II and Comp XE270AH. I would do it myself, but then I have to get the car to the dyno place and I'm sure as shi* not driving it there, the cams will throw everything for a loop.

yeah, NSI would do it. Fastlane is a nice shop? I would go there if they wasn't so far away. But NSI has given a lot of support and they would be my first choice. Wayne's Dyno is another shop but he takes some time getting things done cause he only works a couple hrs a night.

i just found out about a shop in snow hill. Tyson Automotive Performance. he appearantly does really good work and he has a mustang drag car. he has been breakin records around here. that cop told me he's down n the 4.9's n the 1/8 mile. and lives by a mustang. im gonna check him out prolly this weekend. and talk with him about my car and the club.

im doing mine this weekend man, drive up here and see how not hard it really is. hell, if you see mine and want to do your yourself as well, ill help ya out man.

seriously, its not worth 1k unless you got it to throw away.

and 270's will not throw your car all out if you time them right. you will be able to drive it as soon as you button it up, and if you time the cams right the first time, itll drive like it does now.

getting a dyno tune, they are not going to mess with your cam timing, just ignition and your fuel tables. 270's arent that bad anyways, you can throw them in straight up like the stockers and run the hell out of your car, you just wont get the max potentioal out of them.
